Friends of High Park Zoo (FHPZ) was formed in 2012 to raise the necessary funds to ensure that the Zoo remained open in the wake of City budget cuts for the 2012 and 2013 operating years.

That's a Wrap on the Holiday Season!

Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for helping to make the holiday season a success for High Park Zoo. Their generous support of our Holiday Trees and Snowflake Walk will go a long way to help put shovel in the ground on Phase 2 of our Master Plan this year.

If you find yourself wondering what we do with all the decorated trees, fear not. All the holiday trees were stripped of decorations, lights and stands and placed in some of the enclosures for our fury friends to enjoy.

Here's the ever-popular llama Jet having a crunchy snack, and reindeer Snowflake enjoying sensory fun with needles and branches. These Holiday trees provide endless hours of snacking, play and comfort to our animals.
